SAN JOSE — A winning Mega Millions lottery ticket worth nearly $1.6 million was purchased at a Tully Road sandwich shop, according to the California Lottery.
The ticket for the Tuesday drawing was sold at Huong Lan Sandwiches, 1655 Tully Road, and matched five out of the six numbers drawn: 8, 45, 17, 71 and 20, missing only the Mega 4,
The ticket is worth $1,593,144. For selling the winning ticket, the store will receive a bonus check of $7,965, lottery official said.
With no one matching all six numbers, the Mega Millions jackpot will increase to $200 million, with the next drawing Friday night.
The winner has 180 days from Tuesday to claim the money. Unclaimed winnings are given to the state’s public schools.
