Sands Macao without games?

Casino operator Sands China considers depriving Sands Macao center of gaming tables in regard to newly built centers.

On Thursday, during his speech in Venetian Macao, president of Las Vegas Sands Sheldon Anderson announced that the number of hotels and conference rooms in not enough to fit growing number of Meetings, Incentives and Conferences and Exhibitions (MICE) clients. Adelson, who is the author of MICE project in Las Vegas and Macau said that he applied for building permit for the hotel with 2500 rooms.

Andelson didn’t share the secret of the project, but it is related to the restrictions on marketing of new gaming tables the number of which can’t be higher than 3% of growth annually. Although authorities informed that the new restriction is really flexible and will depend on carriers necessity, with the last statement they announced, that the rule will be strictly enforced until expiry of the casino concession in 2022.

New center Sands China Parisian is estimated at 2,6 billion dollars. Its opening is planned for 2016. Initially the center was to contain 450 gaming tables and 2500 gaming machines, but Union Gaming (whose experts are planning table arrangements due to restricting regulations) suggested rebuilding Sands Macao into the hotel and shopping mall while transferring 275 gaming tables and 760 gambling machines to the new Parisian center.
